Resistance to conventional treatments
A significant proportion of patients with psychiatric pathology do not respond well to conventional treatment. It is currently estimated that 30% of patients recover using standard treatments, 30-40% of patients only partially improve, while 30% of patients do not respond to conventional treatments at all. Addressing treatment resistance in psychiatric disorders is a significant challenge facing clinicians and their patients.
The search for biomarkers for treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders is a current challenge in the field of psychiatry. Our approach is to investigate the causes responsible for treatment resistance. Identifying these biomarkers would allow us to detect clinical risk factors and deliver effective treatments to achieve full remission of symptoms.
